How We Got Started
We started breeding these wonderful animals back in 2017. Originally we did not plan to operate as a professional Dog Breeder, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, we became hooked and soon we added a second and then a third one and so on to our family.
After acquiring a lot of information about the breeding process, we decided to do our part in preserving it, which led to the birth of our Riverview business. Since then, we’ve known so much love, joy and excitement! Contact us to find out more.
Chorkie Cattery is a full-service Kennel specializing in breeding and studs for the Chorkie Breed. Based in Brandenburg, Kentucky, Chorkie Cattery houses various sizes of the Chorkie Breed, from 7 to 12 inches and between 3 - 7 lbs. We take pride in our work and treat our dogs like family. It may be a kennel to you, but it is home to us.

Chorkies are a small-but-mighty cross between a Yorkshire terrier and a Chihuahua. Like their parent breeds, Chorkies may be tiny, but they don't act like it! With bold personalities and plenty of affection always at the ready for their humans, they make great companion animals for just about everyone—single professionals or families with kids, apartment-dwellers or those living in sprawling homes, first-time pup parents or experienced dog owners. These happy, adaptable dogs will gladly accompany their owners wherever they go.
"Chorkies are often described as cheerful, outgoing, and affectionate dogs," says Annette Louviere, DVM, veterinarian for Wisdom Panel. "They're eager to spend time with their families and tend to bond with their human companions."
